I don’t know how you’re doing today, 14 days before #Christmas, but my #prayer is that you will remember this: when facing something terrifying, scary, worrisome, or troubling, heaven has a word for you. . Reassurance. . The angel sees the fear. He can sense that the calm world the shepherds expected has been shaken to the core by this sudden, unexpected moment. . And before he delivers what God has been promising since the beginning of time, he pauses. “Hey—guys. I know this is scary. I understand you’re frightened right now. But trust me in this: you are going to be okay.” . That’s what #reassurance is. It’s calming the fear, acknowledging the worry, and restoring hope. Eternity knows where you’re at. It doesn’t ignore it.
