Introducing The Christmas Notebook

A heartwarming Christmas tale about wonder, family, and the quiet ways God speaks through ordinary moments.

The Christmas Notebook: A Resting Merry Tale is a rediscovered story from my early writing days—now rewritten and brought to life for a new generation. It follows a little teddy bear named Aloysius as he uncovers the meaning of Christmas through friendship, hope, and the goodness that still breaks into our world. With full-color illustrations by my son, Austen, it’s filled with warmth, humor, and the kind of Christmas magic we all need.

About my writing.

I’ve been telling stories since childhood, tapping away on a typewriter in the third grade because I couldn’t get the ideas out fast enough. Writing has always been how I process life, faith, and the world around me. I ‘ve written dozens of stage shows, curriculum for David C. Cook, and more—all to help people understand who they are and the purpose they were created to live. Today, whether it’s a Christmas story, a devotional, or a simple reflection, my heart is to help people find joy, peace, and the comforting presence of God—at Christmas and all year long.

If my words can help someone breathe a little deeper or rediscover the hope they thought they’d lost, then I’m doing what I was created to do. I have several new projects in the works, including another release in The Bear Necessities Series, a companion to What About Baptism?, and a novel inspired by one of my stage productions for kids.
